about

Everyone talks about having concept albums, well, we have a concept EP! Recorded over five days it has since been the landmark The Vanilla Milkshakes first appearance to the public before years of drug use and homelessness that followed left The Vanilla Milkshakes in a void. But it was the first time David had told the world "ENOUGH! I'm playing MY music. Not yours."
This EP is about the rise and fall of a hipster in any given music scene. You get paid, see a band, become a fan, become legit, finding out everyone hated you, anger, and then acceptance and a big "F" you to the scene you supported so strongly.
We're sure a lot of kids who just turned 21 has gone through this life experience.

The Vanilla Milkshakes Denver, Colorado

David McGhee, is a gay, autistic, ex homeless, junkie, who, after 7 years, saved by drummer Frank Registrato.

Everything great about 90’s rock all rolled up into three middle aged men!
A sight to be seen and heard for sure!
A great example of an all American band who makes unpretentious music for pretentious people.
